About the Project
LEAP (Leadership Executive Acceleration Program ) is an immersive six-month leadership development and social innovation program designed for emerging women leaders. In two parts: LEAP Academy consists of expert’s workshops, digital modules and mentorship, while LEAP in the Community promotes corporate social responsibility (CSR) and tackles business challenges within local nonprofits.
Maura is the lead Director of LEAP 2019 and Leap 2020 and was a Senior Advisor and workshop facilitator during the pilot phase. She was instrumental in securing grants from the Irish government for the 2019 and 2020 programs and secured new corporate partners: Bank of Ireland, Verizon and Grant Thornton. She provides strategic direction, curriculum development, speaker recruitment, sponsorship and social media promotion. In 2019 and 2020, she identified and set up partnerships with four NY nonprofit service organizations – Self Help Africa USA (food security and female farmers support), The Dwelling Place NY (shelter and services for homeless women), Solace House (suicide prevention and mental health) and Aisling Irish Community Center (education, social services).
