Overview
The Global Economic Summit 2025 (GES25), a premier forum for international decision-makers, returned to Ireland in May, convening global leaders, policymakers, and business executives. Some notable speakers included Irish Prime Minister, Micheál Martin, former White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney, New York Governor Kathy Hochul, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko. Now in its second year, the summit addressed key issues such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, global trade, health equity, and international conflict.
How It Started
Following the success of the virtual U.S.-Ireland Summit in 2021 Maura joined the Business Post Group team as a member of the Advisory Council for GES 2024 and GES 2025, offering strategic input throughout the planning process.
Global Economic Summit Goals
- To convene thought leaders from around the world to develop actionable solutions to today’s most pressing challenges
- To position Ireland as a hub for global dialogue on key economic, cultural, and social issues.
Our Approach
As a member of the Advisory Council in 2025 and 2024, Maura’s contributions included:
- Sharing key GES messaging and speaker highlights across social media channels before and during the event.
- Researching leading international business forums and purpose-driven economic summits to identify best practices and emerging global trends.
- Collaborating with the GES team to review and refine the draft program agenda.
- Supporting the speaker strategy by identifying select participants and assisting with introductions and follow-up.
US Ireland Summit 2021 – Maura served as an advisor and panel moderator on the inaugural forum. She was recruited to create and moderate a robust panel around corporate sustainability and ESG investing. Maura also advised the team on potential strategic partnerships and speakers in the New York area.

State of the Arts and Economic Recovery – Maura contributed to a special 24-page US Ireland Summit Report in the Business Post and reflected on the role ARTS and CULTURE can play to strengthen transatlantic relationships and support economic recovery.
