Outreach Planning
Purple Mountain Media served as an outreach consultant for a number of social issue films and education TV series strengthening their national impact campaigns. Maura created the strategic framework and outreach plan, secured partners, press coverage and fostered several introductions for individual projects.
A Terrible Beauty: Stories of 1916

A Terrible Beauty: Stories of 1916 is a multimedia project from Tile Media featuring a film and a digital portal of stories from the family and ancestors of those involved in the Easter Rising Rebellion in Ireland.
Our Impact
We served as an advisor for the NY film release and developed a national community engagement plan, including a list of community festivals for screenings. She secured an academic partner (NYU) and global media platform (IrishCentral.com) for digital story distribution.
SERVICE: When Women Come Marching Home
SERVICE: When Women Come Marching Home is an Emmy Award winning film by Marica Rock and Patricia Lee Strotter that highlights the special challenges facing disabled female veterans as they transition from active duty to civilian life. Broadcast on select PBS stations.

Our Work
Maura worked with the team to develop the outreach strategy and proposal which included advocacy screenings and talks around the country with policy makers, educators and the public. Efforts culminated in securing distribution funding from DAV – Disabled American Veterans.
Dinosaur Train

Dinosaur Train is a streaming animated series on PBS Kids for preschoolers to learn about natural science, natural history and paleontology from the Jim Henson Company.
Our Work
Maura was recruited by PBS Kids to work with the Jim Henson Company to develop the initial community outreach plan and strategy for the series, including community partnership devt. She was a member of the Advisory Committee during the development phase of the project. The series was successfully funded by PBS Kids.
